Mission Statement When I finish this course,
I will leave Falmouth and head to London. There I will get work script-reading,
which, if I work hard enough will lead onto a job in film development.
The work placement I did at Ruby Films in London made me realise that
I want to take my love of literature and writing and incorporate it with
the film industry and a career in development would allow me to do this.
I met the Head of Development, Mona Quershi and she gave me advice and
support on how to go about it. She has promised to point me in the direction
of work or even give me work when I finish my MA. I am really looking
forward to the combination of visual creativity, avid reading and the
exciting pace and lunacy of the film industry. I already feel excited
at the prospect and I know I will thrive as part of a team. I will carry
on writing scripts and with the endless paths and opportunities in the
film industry, who knows where it will lead?
